Spring Newsletter: Sowing Good Spiritual Seeds
Jill Michelle Thu, May 9 Finally the weather is more spring-like and the sun is shining its warmth upon the earth. Soon we will be planting seeds in our gardens and patiently awaiting our harvest. Our harvest depends on what seeds we sow, just as our spiritual growth depends on what spiritual seeds we sow. Here are a few ways to ensure that you are cultivating an abundant spiritual path. Plant a seed of happiness to all who you see. When you smile, even if you have to force it, you will feel happier. It’s quite amazing and true. Smiling even improves your immune system! “Dr. Gupta, a neurologist from IGEA Brain and Spine explains a smile spurs a chemical reaction in the brain, releasing certain hormones including dopamine and serotonin. Dopamine increases our feelings of happiness. Serotonin release is associated with reduced stress. Low levels of serotonin are associated with depression and aggression. Low levels of dopamine are also associated with depression. Even forcing a fake smile can legitimately reduce stress and lower your heart rate.” For more information see this link. https://www.nbcnews.com/better/health/smiling-can-trick-your-brain-happiness-boost-your-health-ncna822591 When you sow the seed of helping someone who’s in need, whether it is a neighbor, a stranger or a homeless person, you are sowing the seed for someone to help you some day when you are in need. Doing kind deeds with an open and love-filled heart will bring the same in return. Sowing financial seeds will bring financial harvest back to you, sometimes multiplied many times. There are many ways to sow financial seeds, such as sponsoring a foster child, giving to the poor, volunteering, helping people and animals and the environment and anything that helps to create a better world. When you give with a loving heart with the intention of generating goodness in someone’s life you too will receive a generous harvest of goodness back. Love, Peace, Joy and Hope, Jill Michelle P.S. We sponsor two orphanages in Kenya, and supply coats, hats, mitts, boots, and comforters to the homeless people in Hamilton. Anyone who wants to help with these ventures please email me for more information, thanks. If you don’t want to receive these emails anymore, please email me to that effect. Thanks. Your life matters and you are here for a reason. Your job is to determine what your purpose is. My life purpose is to help others find answers. I’m here to help you and any family or friends you send my way.
