Message From Gaia: As the poem states, Many are still unaware how healing Mother Nature and her allies are. The stream carries its water with its abilities to cleanse the body. To rid the body of negative energies and reset ones aura.
The trees wonderful beautiful trees. release a chemical from its leaves when one stands below it that has healing qualities. Take the time to  stand or sit below them and breath them in. It is no mistake that you often see a wise one meditating under a tree. That tree is aiding on their journey within.
The ground yes Mother Earth herself, has the ability when walking and by grounding to reset your cellular form. Call forth its vibration and invite it into your body.
The dirt if you lie in it, gives you a deep cleansing as if in a sauna. It is an amazing tool not used as often as it should. It can rid the body of harmful toxins that bring on disease.
The sounds as with the birds and other creatures have a soothing effect that can shift one into a state of peacefulness if you allow it just like music does. Music heals depending on the vibration so does natures music.
And the air when deep breaths are taken allow the inner self to be purified. It gives one a new lease that calms the brain. Even climbing a mountain is purifying because it gives one not only exercise but a chance to bond with its rock formations that have much wisdom to share when you focus and attune to them.
The forest itself with its foliage has many healing qualities in its plants, leaves and grass. And even some insects carry natural remedies when digested. Even if you feel alone and sad let her help to free yourself to feel harmony. Your feelings of hopelessness can be realigned to experience peace.
So you see, nature is an amazing ally, a resource for mankind to benefit from. Take the time to let go of unwanted stresses. Use your time wisely to move and receive what nature has to offer. It is free. It is unlimited and it is a tool to expand toward better health both mentally and physically.
As time goes on more, and more people are going to realize the treasures that are found in the countryside. They will awaken to receive its blessings to be healthier and more joyful.
Few doctors know of its potential not because they don’t care but they have not been taught. So now you yourself can be your own doctor to take your power and reap the benefits along with other modalities.
Mother Earth is the mother of us all alive and precious. She stands ready to assist. She is alive and deserves respect. Her life blood oil has been stolen but still she allows it as she waits for mankind to awaken. She echoes out love. Be grateful for her. And move in a state of renewal inside choice to bond with her and all her allies. Inside the gift that awaits you.

    How complaining physically rewires your brain to be anxious and depressed The Hearty Soul 744k Facebook 369 Pinterest I’m pretty sure we can all pick out that one person who is a consistent negative ninny. The one person who we think sees the glass half empty, but who insists that they are just a hard-edged realist. For me, it is one of my long time childhood friends Sam. Things are never good enough for Sam and she is always the victim of something. After knowing her for about 15 years now, I’m pretty used to her negativity and I can just let it roll right off my back. But, this is only after a lot of practice. It really used to take a lot of my energy to be around her because it was so incredibly draining. There are a couple different types of draining energies but all of them stream from one core value: Negativity. Drain Types: Now, I am not completely innocent of negativity. I too complain from time to time without even realizing I’m doing it. It’s pretty much a part of our culture nowadays. Dr. Robin Kowalski professor of psychology at Clemson University explains that everyone complains, at some point, at least a little. (1) There are a few varieties when it comes to complainers. I’m sure you can stick a face to each different category.
    Vent-ers:  This is a very displeased person who doesn’t want to hear solutions, no matter how helpful they may be.

    Sympathy Seekers: You know the type. The ones always fishing for attention with their “I’ve got it worse than you do” attitude or their constant and everything sucks demeanor.

    Chronic Complainers: those living in a state of complaint, do something researchers call “ruminating.” This basically means thinking and complaining about a problem again and again. Instead of feeling a release after complaining, this sort of complaining can actually make things worse. It can cause even more worry and anxiety.
    Ok, I’m not suggesting you give up all your bad habits and try to be a squeaky clean free-flying positive ninny. No, not even close. Bouts of negativity are normal and encouraged to reset our systems. What you want to be mindful of, is if you are being excessively negative. Why you ask? Because negativity breeds negativity. Most of us may have been unintentionally reinforcing the nasty habit of complaining, by virtue of… complaining. Negativity Rewires Your Brain: Donald Hebb, a neuropsychologist, believed that neurons which fire together, wire together. What he meant by that is that groups of neurons connect in our brain as a result of particular life experiences. (2) For instance, whenever we think a thought or have a feeling or physical sensation, thousands of neurons are triggered and they all get together to form a neural network. The brain learns to trigger the same neurons with repetitive thinking. Basically, if you keep your mind focused on criticism, worry, and victimization, your mind will find it easier to bring up those same thoughts for similar situations. Our thought patterns wire our brains to react positively or negatively to the situations we are presented. We get good at what we practice, so why don’t we try being a little more positive? Four tricks to avoid negativity:
    Be grateful: Even for the smallest of things.

    Catch yourself: Catch yourself in a complaint. Stop complaining. Congratulate yourself for being aware!

    Make a new groove: We can create a brand new groove for pleasant feelings. The more often we allow our minds to remember the good stuff, the easier that kind of thinking becomes.

    Practice wise effort: Wise effort is letting go of that which is not helpful and cultivating that which is skillful.

The benefits of getting outside

For the most part, our brains didn’t evolve in cities. But in a few decades, almost 70 per cent of the world’s people will live in urban environments. Despite the prosperity we associate with cities, urbanization presents a major health challenge. Cities, with their accelerated pace of life, can be stressful. The results are seen in the brains and behaviour of those raised in cities or currently living in one.
On the upside, city dwellers are on average wealthier and receive better health care, nutrition and sanitation than rural residents. On the downside, they experience an increased risk of chronic disease, a more demanding and stressful social environment and greater levels of inequity. In fact, city dwellers have a 21 per cent greater risk for anxiety disorders and a 39 per cent increased likelihood of mood disorders.
A study published in Nature links city living with sensitivity to social stress. MRI scans show greater exposure to urban environments can increase activity in the amygdala, a brain structure involved in emotions such as fear and the release of stress-related hormones. According to the study, the amygdala “has been strongly implicated in anxiety disorders, depression, and other behaviours that are increased in cities, such as violence.”
The researchers also found people who lived in cities for their first 15 years experienced increased activity in an area of the brain that helps regulate the amygdala. So if you grew up in the city, you’re more likely than those who moved there later in life to have permanently raised sensitivity to stress.
Author and professor David Gessner says we’re turning into “fast twitch” animals. It’s like we have an alarm clock going off in our brains every 30 seconds, sapping our ability to concentrate for longer periods of time. The demands of urban life include a constant need to filter information, dodge distractions and make decisions. We give our brains little time to recover.
How do we slow things down? Nature seems to be the answer. Cognitive psychologist David Strayer’s hypothesis is that “being in nature allows the prefrontal cortex, the brain’s command centre, to dial down and rest, like an overused muscle.”
Research shows even brief interactions with nature can soothe our brains. Stanford’sGregory Bratman designed an experiment in which participants took a 50-minute walk in either a natural or an urban environment. People who took the nature walk experienced decreased anxiety, brooding and negative emotion and increased memory performance. Bratman’s team found walking in natural environments can decrease rumination, the unhealthy but familiar habit of thinking over and over about causes and consequences of negative experiences. Their study also showed neural activity in an area of the brain linked to risk for mental illness was reduced in participants who walked through nature compared with those who walked through an urban environment.
Korean researchers investigated the differences in brain activity when volunteers just looked at urban versus natural scenery. For those viewing urban images, MRI scans showed increased blood flow to the amygdala region. In contrast, areas of the brain associated with empathy and altruism lit up for those who viewed natural scenes.
In Japan, scientists found people spending time in nature — shinrin-yoku or “forest bathing” — inhale “beneficial bacteria, plant-derived essential oils and negatively-charged ions” which interact with gut bacteria to strengthen the body’s immune system and improve both mental and physical health.
Spending time in nature regularly is not a panacea for mental health but it’s an essential component of health and psychological resilience. Nature helps us withstand and recover from life’s challenges. Even city dwellers can find nearby nature — a garden, local park or trail — to give their overworked brains a break.

Self-Body Scan

We can detect subtle changes in our own bodies, by performing our own energy scan on a regular basis.

As the living vehicles for our spirits, our bodies deserve loving attention and care. We can positively affect our health, prevent illness, and heal injuries by regularly focusing our mental and spiritual energy on the workings of our bodies. This can be done by performing a body scan on yourself. 

Begin by lying in a comfortable position and taking three deep cleansing breaths. Imagine, if you will, a sunbeam entering the top of your head. Feel this light slowly scanning each part of your internal body. Allow it to scan every cell in your body and keep breathing. Every time you exhale, blow out negative energy you may feel. Notice any changes in your body. Sensations may vary from person to person. You may feel a shift in body temperature, see a color or flash of light, or hear a voice offering you guidance. If you feel a block in a certain area of your body, sit with that block and feel into it. Ask your body why that block is there and what you need to do to release it. Try not to judge or analyze the wisdom that comes to you. Often, we experience energy blocks in our body because our body is trying to tell us something. You may want to breathe into that area until you feel the block dissolving. When you have finished your scan, take one last deep breath and exhale any energetic residue that you are ready to release. 

The body doesn't lie, and it has much wisdom to share with us. Any injuries or blocks that exist in our bodies are there so that we can learn from having them in our bodies. An existing injury can teach us to slow down or help us recognize that something is out of balance in our bodies. The more you scan your body, the better you will become at it. If you sense that something is not right in your body, you may want to visit a doctor and tell them about your experience. When you have finished your scan, don't forget to thank your wonderful, amazing body.

Eating anti-inflammatory foods (and avoiding foods that cause inflammation, such as refined grains, sugar, and hydrogenated fats) can help keep inflammation in check and reduce disease risk. Taming the FlameTo understand why certain foods are anti-inflammatory, it’s important to first understand the basic concept of inflammation. There are two types of inflammation: acute and chronic. Acute inflammation is a localized reaction of tissue to injury, whether caused by a bacteria infection, trauma, chemicals, heat, or other phenomenon that cause irritation. Long-term inflammation often lurks silently, below the threshold of perceptible symptoms, and is a common risk factor for a broad range of health conditions, such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, and type 2 diabetes. As Marsha McCulloh MS, RD, writes in Environmental Nutrition, “inflammation is the fire that fuels many chronic diseases.”

Sauna For A Longer Life Span? Yes Please.Posted September 10th, 2018

Now this is a medical study I can really get behind, becauseI LOVE HEAT.And I love love love anything that boosts circulation — like grounding, sauna, steam room, hot baths, sleeping with a hot water bottle, hugs, massages, exercise (ok, exercise, not so much….)It just feels intuitively right to get your blood flowing, don’t you think?

Thats why I’m so thrilled that there have been so many studies recently looking at the health benefits of routine sauna.
Researchers had previously discovered that folks who used a sauna two or more times a week had significantly reduced risk of cardiovascular disease and death, decreased rates of dementia, and reduced risk of all-cause mortality (meaning they died less from all causes put together.)
Today’s study backs this up yet again.
This study was the largest yet, a meta-analysis of all of the medical literature on dry sauna from 2000 to 2017.
Published in Evidence Based Complimentary & Alternative Medicine Journal, April 2018 , researchers review 40 studies that included almost 4,000 patients and found:
  • reduced risk of heart disease, heart attack and sudden cardiac death
  • lowered blood pressure
  • lower risk of stroke
  • reduced risk of dementia and other neurocognitive changes
  • reduced risk of pulmonary disease such as asthma and lung infections like influenza
  • decrease risk of rheumatologist and immune disorders
  • decrease in pain conductions such as arthritis and headaches
  • decreased risk of death
  • improved quality of life




Why is sauna so good?

Sauna raises whole body temperature which activates metabolic changes like a neutralizing inflammation, reducing oxidative stress, increase nitric oxide bioavailability, increased insulin sensitivity, and improved vasodilation.
In other words, raising the core body temperature and increasing circulation very similar to exercise.


So one take away from today’s study is this:

If you can’t exercise (or, ahem, like me, don’t particularly love to do it) then one good alternative is sauna.
A really great application for this is that disabled or mobility limited folks, who might find exercise and mobility harder to routinely do, can sauna and enjoy very similar benefits.
Just like with grounding — the folks who might benefit most from grounding (like severely ill, hospital or rehab bound patients, mobility limited patients, elderly patients and more) may be the ones that find it hardest to go outside… so the answer to this is indoor grounding tools.
In the same vein, the folks who might benefit most from routine exercise (like those recovering from cancer, those with metabolic and weight issues, those with high stress loads, those who must sit for long periods of time at work, those caretaking of others with very limited time away, those recovering from trauma, etc…) may find it harder to participate in regular exercise… so the answer to this is relaxing in a sauna to raise basal metabolic temperatures.

The Bottom Line:

Siginficant reduction in dementia, reduced risk of heart attack and stroke, reduced pain, reduced all cause mortality rates, improved blood perfusion to the brain and other organs, decreased blood pressure, improved insulin sensitivity, reduced asthma risk, reduced pain, improved quality of life and more…
…this is better than any single treatment, dietary modification, supplement or medication known to date!
This is HUGE news!
The only other thing I know that impacts so many different organ systems in such a powerfully positive way is grounding (for more on grounding, here is a huge list of medical studies, videos, grounding tools and resources just waiting for you.)





Interested in giving sauna a try?

The recommended routine is to sauna at least once a week and up to three times a week, for a time period of at least 5 minutes and a maximum of 20 minutes, with temperatures in the range of 176°F-212°F and a 10% to 20% relative humidity.
Hydrate before, during and after sauna, and be sure to fully cool off but recovering for several minutes resting at room temperature, taking a brief swim or a shower.  Don’t sauna if you have a fever, an active inflammatory condition like a rash or hives, or are intoxicated.
No longer just for pleasure and relaxation, sauna might be one of the best ways to boost your over all longevity.  If you are looking for holistic ways to really boost your health, a great Rx to start with might be:
  • deep restorative sleep at night with grounding
  • daily morning sunshine on your face or light box therapy upon waking
  • daily walking and decreasing prolonged sitting
  • hydrating with beautiful pure, fluoride free water
  • eating healthy proteins, fats, fruits and veggies
  • fasting overnight (ideally, for about 12+ hours each night)

Then you find that a lot of the products particularly on the natural alternative side of health, do not always meet the proper potency and frequencies for the body. A lot of them are weak and you have to constantly use them forever seems like just to try and stay up with your health. There aren’t too many that truly want to cure you, to totally heal you, but want to keep you coming and keep getting richer and richer. Unfortunately, this is also true of alternative practices as well. There are things in the world that are truly exceptional and wonderful in how they work with your natural processes of your body and your body rhythm. Before I step aside and give credence to Dr. Fu Man Lu who is a very incredible herbalist from the old days of ancient China and has cured, not helped to get better, but cured many, many maladies of the world. Here are some things to look for in choosing proper health care for yourself and others.
 
1. Be sure that any natural herbs and remedies are not only 100% clean of impurities but has a high concentration of potency that will do the job. Far too many are just not a high enough concentration and they don’t work or if they do, it takes your body a very long time of use to get to the level of concentration needed.
 
2. Be sure that whatever you take works with your bodies healing mechanism and your body rhythm. There is a great deal of deceit these days. Products are labeled 100% pure or 100% organic when that is not true. It’s your laws that allow this deceit to run rampant. All you need is a very small percentage of organic or pure ingredients and they can use the words 100%. This is just unacceptable. Do your research and talk with those of integrity and are not just trying to sell you something to make money.
 
3. Exercise and diet are important to your health. It can be taking short to long walks at varying paces. It can be some simple exercises and stretching. Your diet needs to consist of good food not processed foods but you know that already.

Why does hearing wane as some people age?  It’s because the blood supply to the auditory nerve diminishes, and neural conductivity to the brain declines.  Eastern medicine has long used acupuncture to increase blood flow to the auditory region and normalize conduction, which can alleviate tinnitus (ringing in the ears) as well as hearing loss. However, even without acupuncture you can take steps to improve your hearing on your own.  Daily cardiovascular exercise will boost hearing function by increasing circulation overall.  The supplements niacin, or vitamin B3, helps dilate capillaries, promoting blood flow to the tiny blood vessels in the inner ear that feed the nerve.  Another B vitamin, choline, is essential for the body to produce a key neurotransmitter, acetylcholine.  If you want to find this in your foods then good sources of niacin and choline include legumes and beans, especially soy beans, wheat germ, whole grains, avocado, brewer’s yeast, peanuts, leafy greens, and fish.

You can send thoughts of good energy & especially LOVE into that food - hopefully your cook already did that & hopefully you already did that for your cook, especially if that cook is YOU!

All is energy.  All of our food, just as ourselves & everything in the universe, is composed of vibrating atoms which are filled with mostly water. OK, we know that. Scientists have now proven that that water content is not 60-70% as we learned in school , but more like 90-95% & even more interestingly, it has "memory".  We can interject, through the energy of our hearts, Love into that water. So, does it not follow then that we can do the same with our food comprised of the very same?!?! Certainly, but we seldom do this. Many have even done away with saying a grace/blessing for the food we are provided with.  So, let's change that!  Thank God, the universe, Mother earth,, & the cook BEFORE with gratitude with the expectation of love as if we've already received it -that's faith.
When you eat the food, enjoy it in terms of awareness IN THE MOMENT - elevate your consciousness up to where you can consider where it came from , the love that went in, the taste sensations, the textures, the nutrients lavished upon your body & anything else you can put forth. In so doing our body will be energetically blessed with the best possible health  from whatever food you are ingesting.  
The opposite of which we may consider here for just a moment for the sake of appreciating the contrast & heightening our good experiences:
A negative outlook lends power of the same energy to the food the atmosphere, the cook & what it is doing in our bodies... If we believe that the food we are eating is going to make us sick, weaken us, bring down our immune system or simply taste terrible, then guess what....it is!
So having a healthy view is obviously the solution. We're not suggesting this is completely easy to do or the be-all, end-all solution. Obviously we're works in progress & we need to adopt other measures of buying & eating healthy.



True costs of Organic vs factory food

Organic just seems SO INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE - "who can afford it?"  True enough, on the surface, but let's look deeper.

'Pay now or pay later ! , Take the time to be healthy or make the time to be sick..., Like attracts like, Garbage in garbage out..  a few appropriate sayings...    (but again it matters most what you believe to be true )

In terms of the physical costs, points to consider, though tremendously hard to measure, there are differing food nourishment values per serving where most often organic will shine above the preserved, pasturized, factory-grown, &GMO.

Taste is another area where organic shines
Need to support the small organic companies now further empower the conglomerates- we're basically helping them feed us more poisons & do more damage- this also brings US bad karma knowingly eating what harmas us, feeding it to our families & supporting anyone doing harm = ouch" x1000!
